At a recent meeting of Staffs Watch (the Staffordshire Neighbourhood Watch Association), your name and superb efforts came to the fore.

Like you, we are volunteers as well, and our principal aim in Staffs Watch is to resurrect Neighbourhood Watch (NW) in Staffordshire, which has fallen into decline.

(This was graphically illustrated by the very poor attendance at our first AGM in June last year, when 4 people out of a registered membership of over 3500, joined us).

We formed Staffs Watch at its launch in June 2024, and we're supported by the Staffordshire Commissioner Ben Adams, and Superintendents Dave Wain and Karen Green.

We've also got the support of the Staffordshire Police lead for neighbourhood/ community engagement, Superintendent Al Lyford.

Recently one of your local police sergeants, Steve Marriott, has emailed me to let us know that you've been very active in engaging your neighbours locally. (Having passed the GDPR training and test, I've got access to a closed database, which provides all registered Staffordshire NW members, and can see that your scheme has 48 members. What a fantastic achievement!

Just to let you know, our vice chair, Dave Spencer let us know that you've spent £65 of your own monies on NW materials.(Sgt Marriott has also informed us of your out of pocket expenses too). 

I believe that our treasurer Marion Morris has asked you for receipts, so that we can reimburse you.
